Why We Exist
Across Southern Africa, fewer than 10% of diagnostic laboratories participate in any form of External Quality Assessment. In Zambia — our home market — over 500 labs operate, yet fewer than 40 are enrolled in EQA programs.
This gap has real consequences. Without quality assurance, laboratories risk producing inaccurate results that lead to misdiagnosis, incorrect treatment, and preventable deaths.
AfriQA Labs was created to make quality assessment accessible, affordable, and practical for every diagnostic laboratory on the continent.
